Behavioral Health LPN
Job Description
BOS Medical Staffing is looking for an LPN to work in a home-base setting that supports individuals with diagnosed Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD). The center would serve up to four individuals at a time who are experiencing an emotional/behavioral change that leads to a disruption of essential functions. This short term service is offered to help stabilize the individuals so they can return to their own home environment.
Shifts are available immediately.
Available Hours: Full-Time with occasional weekends
- 3P-11P (Mon-Fri)
Responsibilities:
- Measures and records patients vital signs
- Provide medical treatments such as administering medication and giving injections
- Work with the treatment team to provide direct care to individuals residing in Crisis Home based upon the individual treatment plan
- Count controlled substances, syringes, needles, and sharps at the beginning of each shift with another staff member and sign count log
- Communicate information and document any changes in patients conditions to nursing staff, physicians, health care unit supervisory personnel, and other staff as necessary.
- Respect the dignity and confidentiality of patients.
- Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
- Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.

Requirements & Skills:
- Current, unencumbered nursing license
- At least 1 year of experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills for charting
- Ability to work as part of team and multi-task
- Candidates must pass a criminal background check including an FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Check and Pre-employment drug screen

She began her journey with the BOS family in September 2019 as a Front Office Coordinator with BOS Staffing. Later that year, she transitioned to BOS Medical as a Recruiting Specialist. Currently, Chanease holds the position of Senior Staffing Specialist, where she takes charge of leading and organizing our staffing team. Her primary responsibilities involve managing schedules for clients and medical professionals across Georgia, particularly in behavioral health and corrections facilities. Additionally, Chanease leads a team of staffing specialists.
Chanease has completed the Certified Health Care Staffing Professional program, which provides comprehensive training on federal employment and labor laws specific to health care staffing and recruiting professionals. This credential is essential for demonstrating her expertise in working with both employees and clients within the boundaries of federal regulations and laws.
