BOS Medical Staffing is looking for part time nurses in Selma, Alabama.
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Medical-Surgical Units
- Estimated Hours: Per diem needs
- Shifts: Day and Night Needs
- 7A-7P
- 7P-7A
- Pay Rate: $42+ an hour
Position Summary:
BOS Medical Staffing is seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our clinical team across the Emergency Department (ED), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) units. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and hospital policies
- Deliver direct patient care, including medication administration, treatments, and monitoring of patient conditions
- Respond promptly to changes in patient status, particularly in critical and emergency situations
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered nursing license in the state of Alabama
- At least 2 years of Medical Surgical, ICU, or ER experience required
- American Heart Association BLS AND ACLS certification
- PALS required for the Emergency Department
- Basic computer skills for charting
- Experience using Sapphire for charting preferred
- Ability to work as part of team and multi-task
- Fast-paced hospital setting with exposure to a variety of patient populations
- Requires flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Physical demands include standing, walking, and assisting with patient mobility
- Candidates must pass a criminal background check including an FBI Fingerprint Criminal History
- Check and Pre-employment drug screen
