Job Description

BOS Medical is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Registered Dietician (RD) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting health and wellness through personalized nutrition plans and will have experience working in Behavioral Health environment. As an RD, you will be responsible for assessing the nutritional needs of individuals or groups, developing evidence-based nutrition interventions, and providing counseling to promote overall health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Nutritional Assessments: Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients/clients, including evaluating dietary intake, medical history, laboratory values, and physical activity levels.

  • Personalized Nutrition Plans: Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans based on the assessment, medical condition, and lifestyle preferences of the patient/client.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure holistic and coordinated care for patients.

  • Monitor Progress: Regularly follow up with patients to monitor progress and adjust nutrition plans as necessary to meet health goals.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, care plans, and progress notes in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited institution.

  • Certification/Licensure: Current Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and any state-specific licensure as required.

  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in a clinical or community setting (specific experience may vary depending on job needs, e.g., hospital, outpatient clinic, long-term care, etc.).

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of human nutrition, metabolism, and medical conditions that can be managed through diet.

  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and independently.
