X-Ray Technician

Job Description
BOS Medical Staffing is looking for an experienced X-Ray Technician for a full-time day shift, Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities
- Prepare room, calibrate equipment, and prepare medicine and materials for patients undergoing procedures in a correctional healthcare setting
- Clean and disinfect room and equipment
- Prepare patient for procedures, explain procedures, transfer patients to equipment, position patients as appropriate to the specific procedure, and assist patient at the end of procedures
- Follow prescribed techniques in administering general and specific x-rays; adjust equipment; determine proper voltage, current, and desired exposure time; arrange immobilization and support devices to obtain position of patient; adjust lead shield; select proper film
- Observe patient and machine during procedures and report unusual occurrences and record patient’s condition
Qualifications
- Current state license as an X-Ray Technologist
- Current CPR certificate
- Proficient with electronic medical records
- Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen
