Registered Nurse – Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Medical-Surgical Units

Position Summary:
BOS Medical Staffing is seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our clinical team across the Emergency Department (ED), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) units. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and hospital policies
• Deliver direct patient care, including medication administration, treatments, and monitoring of patient conditions
• Respond promptly to changes in patient status, particularly in critical and emergency situations
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines

Qualifications:

• Current, unencumbered nursing license in the state of Alabama
• At least 2 years of Medical Surgical, ICU, or ER experience required
• American Heart Association BLS AND ACLS certification
• PALS required for the Emergency Department
• Basic computer skills for charting
• Experience using Sapphire for charting preferred
• Ability to work as part of team and multi-task
• Fast-paced hospital setting with exposure to a variety of patient populations
• Requires flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Physical demands include standing, walking, and assisting with patient mobility
• Candidates must pass a criminal background check including an FBI Fingerprint Criminal History
• Check and Pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Participate in discharge planning process.
• Perform a focused interview to identify specific patient needs.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’ s condition.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data and information from health care members and document actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
• Other Registered Nurse (RN) duties as assigned.
